How do the agency rates of pay work?

Vita Primary Health Care Group aims to be as transparent as possible, and you will find our pay rates on our website. We will ensure that our consultants find you the best local nursing jobs in England, Wales and Scotland. As we are a high paying agency, be prepared to be offered work at the last minute, as our clients rightfully will attempt to fill all their posts first with bank staff. On occasion, we will have to change a pay rate, but you will be notified of the pay rate when you accept a shift. If in doubt at any time, please ask.

What is the sign up process?

Sign up online via our shift management system Staffshift, you can complete the whole application online and add supporting documents such as CV, training certificates, immunisation records, etc.

Recruitment Advisors will take responsibility for assisting you in completing the processes and will organise the face to face interview.

DBS Checks

In England and Wales, it is a statutory requirement to undergo a DBS check; if you had signed up with the update service when you did your last check, you could provide us with this number. If you have not had a DBS check or signed up with the update service or you have had a conviction since your last check, you will be required to undergo a new DBS check.

In Scotland, you will require a Scottish Disclosure, although you can work for 14 days using your English DBS until this comes through.

What Payment Options do you offer?

We offer weekly pay via PAYE, and timesheets that arrive at our offices by noon on a Monday are processed and paid. Payment is made by BACS directly into your bank account each Friday. Payroll can be reached by emailing mypay@bvitagroup.com.

How do I get a timesheet?

When you get booked for a shift, our systems automatically send you details of the booking and a timesheet.

Can I work for other nursing agencies within the Vita Primary Health Care Group?

Yes; we have five nursing agencies that operate under the Vita Primary Health Care Group umbrella. They all work independently, which means that every one of them is fighting to find you the best shifts and assignments in the UK.

The five agencies have different rates, different clients, unique consultants and various things that make them the agency of choice.

From your perspective, this means that you can pick and choose who you work for when you work and mix and match to suit. Only one profile to update means more opportunities for you.

How can I ensure I get offered shifts?

Please make sure you self-manage your profile with us, you can log in via the web on Staffshift to ensure your compliance and documentation stays up to date. Update your availability via our app or the internet using “Staffshift.” Check your keywords and skills; are they up to date and do they reflect your skills and experience?

How long does the registration process take?

We strive to provide you with the shortest turn-around time possible. The more documents you can provide us, the faster we can clear you for work.

I haven’t received any shifts since registering with your agency?

We are an ad hoc agency which means our shifts are available according to our clients needs. Please note: we might have limited shifts to offer over time. However, we would advise our candidates to keep updating their availability.

I have registered with your agency years ago, do I have to register again?

No. You will be able to activate your file by logging into Staffshift. All you have to do is insert your username which will be your email address, click on “Forgot Password”.

I only want to work certain hours, would this be possible?

As an agency we believe in staffing flexibility and therefore would be able to cater to your unique requirements. Upon successful registration, you will have access to our unique agency worker profile system, where you would be able to select your work preferences.

How can I update my availability?

You can update your availability via our Staffshift Mobile App or on desktop, alternatively you can call our Bookings department.

How do I know if I completed my registering with your agency?

Once you have submitted all the required information, download and accept the policies, and upload your documents. The save button appears when you edit your information. You will receive a follow up call from one of our team members to verify your information.

Does the Vita Primary Health Care Group assist with apprenticeships/internships for medical students?

We can offer you unpaid volunteer shadow shifts through one of our agencies to gain exposure, experience and references.

If I forgot my password, and I no longer have access to my email account. What should I do?
